Stick to your Healthy Eating Habits Even on Thanksgiving

Eating healthy is all about balance. You don’t have to skip Thanksgiving dinner to stick with your healthy lifestyle… instead, give your favorite Thanksgiving staples a superfood twist!

1. Add Goji Berries to Your Cranberry Sauce

We get it, cranberry sauce and turkey are a perfect match… but it doesn’t mean you cannot twist things a bit! This year, make a cranberry & Goji berry sauce! The sweet-tart Goji berries will add a subtle flavor to the sauce.
Tip: take your go-to cranberry sauce recipe, and replace a quarter of the cranberries with soaked Goji berries (Goji berries soaked in water for an hour). Enjoy!

2. Pumpkin Pie Chia Pudding

Thanksgiving desserts are often loaded with sugar. And while it’s definitely okay to indulge on aunt Christine’s pecan pie, you may be on the lookout for dessert recipes that are both delicious and healthy! We have your back with this delicious Pumpkin Pie Chia Pudding:

1 cup almond milk
¼ cup Natierra Organic and Fair Trade Chia Seeds
2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1 tbsp maple syrup
½ tsp vanilla

Whisk all ingredients in a lidded jar, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Stir well again and refrigerate overnight. Top with chopped pecans, apple slices and a dash of pumpkin pie spice.

3. Add chia seeds to your gravy

Thicken your homemade gravy by adding Chia Seeds! A good ratio is 2 tbsp chia seeds per cup of liquid. It won’t change the taste of your gravy, but will make it nice and smooth!
